Quartz is the worktop most London homeowners choose, and for good reason. It is engineered from around 90% natural quartz bound with resin, giving you a surface that is hard-wearing, non-porous and consistent from slab to slab. No sealing, no surprises, and a huge range of colours from bright whites to deep charcoals and marble-look Calacatta veining.
Levant supplies, templates and installs quartz worktops across Central, North and South West London. We take precise measurements once your units are in, fabricate every cut-out and edge to suit your kitchen, and fit it with care, so the finished worktop looks like it was always meant to be there.
Quartz suits busy family kitchens and showpiece kitchens alike. Because the surface is non-porous, everyday spills such as red wine, coffee, oil and lemon juice wipe away rather than soaking in. That also makes it a hygienic choice for food preparation.
Unlike natural stone, quartz is manufactured, so the slab you see in a sample is the slab you get. That makes it ideal for long runs, L-shaped layouts and large islands where you want the pattern to flow without obvious changes in tone.
White and Calacatta-style quartz remains the most requested look, especially paired with sage, navy or dark green cabinetry. Soft greys and concrete-effect quartz work well in contemporary open-plan spaces, while dark and black quartz makes a bold statement on islands.
Not sure where to start? We can talk you through the options for your cabinets, flooring and lighting, and help you choose a colour and finish that will still look right in ten years’ time.
Every quartz worktop we fit is made to measure. We offer a range of edge profiles, from a crisp pencil-round to chamfered and mitred edges that make a 20mm slab look like a thick, solid block. We also cut undermount sink openings, hob cut-outs, drainer grooves, tap holes and socket cut-outs as standard.
For a seamless finish, ask about matching quartz upstands and full-height splashbacks cut from the same material.
Quartz is the most low-maintenance option. Granite is a natural stone with excellent heat resistance and unique patterns. Marble offers unmatched natural beauty but needs more care. If you want the look of marble without the upkeep, quartz is usually the answer.
We supply and install across Central, North and South West London, including:
Most of the quartz worktops we install in London fall roughly between £350 and £750 per square metre supplied and fitted, depending on the brand, colour, thickness, edge profile and number of cut-outs. Every kitchen is different, so we give a free, fixed quote after looking at your plans. See our worktop price guide for more detail.
No. Quartz is non-porous, so unlike granite or marble it never needs sealing. Clean it with warm soapy water or a pH-neutral cleaner.
We always recommend using a trivet. Quartz contains resin, and very high direct heat from a pan straight off the hob can cause discolouration or thermal shock.
After templating, fabrication usually takes around 7 to 10 working days. Installation of a typical kitchen is normally completed in a single day.
20mm and 30mm are the most common. 20mm with a mitred edge gives a modern thick-slab look at a lower cost, while 30mm gives a more solid, traditional appearance.
