The cost of a new kitchen worktop in London depends mainly on the material you choose, how much of it you need, and how complex the kitchen is. This guide gives you realistic price ranges so you can plan your budget before asking for a quote.
All figures below are typical ranges for worktops supplied, templated and installed in London in 2026. They are a guide only. Every Levant quote is bespoke, free and based on your actual kitchen.
| Material | Per m² (guide) | Typical kitchen (guide) |
|---|---|---|
| Quartz | £350 to £750 | £2,000 to £4,500 |
| Granite | £300 to £700 | £1,800 to £4,000 |
| Marble | £500 to £1,200 | £3,000 to £7,000+ |
| Porcelain / sintered stone | £450 to £900 | £2,500 to £5,500 |
A ’typical kitchen’ here means roughly 4 to 6 m² of worktop with a sink and hob cut-out. Larger kitchens, islands and premium stones cost more.
Material and brand: entry-level quartz and common granites cost less than premium Calacatta quartz or rare marbles.
Size and layout: the more square metres, joints and corners, the higher the cost. Islands and waterfall ends add material and fabrication time.
Thickness and edge profile: 30mm slabs and mitred edges cost more than 20mm with a simple pencil-round edge.
Cut-outs and details: undermount sinks, hobs, drainer grooves, tap holes and socket cut-outs are all priced in.
Access: upper-floor flats, narrow stairs and restricted parking in Central London can affect installation time.
Matching upstands are usually one of the most cost-effective upgrades, while full-height splashbacks in the same stone create a high-end finish. Removing and disposing of an old worktop is also quoted separately where needed.
