A matching splashback or upstand is what turns a good kitchen into a beautifully finished one. Cut from the same material as your worktop, it protects your walls and gives a seamless, coordinated look.
Levant templates, fabricates and installs stone splashbacks and upstands across London, either alongside a new worktop or added to an existing one.
An upstand is a short strip of stone along the back of the worktop. It protects the wall from splashes and gives a neat finish at a modest cost. A full-height splashback runs from the worktop to the wall units or ceiling, creating a striking, easy-to-clean surface with no grout lines.
Behind a hob or range cooker, a stone splashback is easier to keep clean than tiles. Feature walls and cooker hood surrounds in marble or porcelain can make a dramatic focal point. Porcelain is especially good behind high-heat cooking areas.
